Yes, Vistas Marbella will provide drinking water – please notify us when the bottle is less than half full so we can provide a refill

We have personally used Happy Shuttle.   Other recommended transport companies include USA Transfer or Canadian Transfer.    For additional information, we suggest searching within one of the facebook groups we recommend.

Yes, as part of your fee, we provide weekly cleaning to start the 6th day after your arrival.   We can arrange additional cleaning if you like – please contact us for more information.

We are very happy to provide you with fresh towels at least once in between regular cleanings.

Just let us know.

All of our properties are located on the port side within a block of the beach and just north of the main park.   Take the federal highway (307) to the Puerto Morelos overpass.   Head East.

  • Our Nohoch B’alam property is located on Avenida Javier Rojo Gomez – turn NORTH.  The El Pirata Restaurant is about halfway down the block.   Please be aware, Avenida Javier Rojo Gomez is normally closed to through traffic between hours of 3:00 PM and midnight to allow the restaurants to move their tables on to the street for a more festive dining experience.   Residents of the street (this includes our guests at the Nohoch B’alam Property) are permitted to drive through.   Street parking is available but, please, do not park in front of any restaurant or you risk being towed.
  • Our Casa Azcorra property is located on Rafael Melgar (the street closest to the beach).   Turn NORTH at the lighthouse.  We are located just on the right-hand side, just past Marbella restaurant and in front of El Pesquero restaurant.   There is a Casa Azcorra sign over the arched window.  Street parking is permitted but very challenging!!!   If you do decide to rent a car, we suggest you coordinate with the Valet parking that services Marbella restaurant.   They can be very helpful in securing parking in front of the building for a modest tip.

There is a large upscale grocery store about 2 blocks south of our properties.   Just head south on either Rafael Melgar or Javier Rojo Gomez until you find the Chedraui Selecto grocer.   This store has an extensive liquor department, bakery and produce section.   I have found their cuts of meat to be quite acceptable.   If you want to venture a little further away, there are a couple of large grocery stores along the main highway – you can get to by taxi or collectivo (local bus).   These include Chedrai and Super Aki.   There is a small produce store on the street Ninos Heroes (3rd street from beach) on the east side of the street along the first block north of the road into town.

For our Nohoch B’alam property:

Street parking is available but, please, do not park in front of any restaurant or you risk being towed.

For the Casa Azcorra property:

Street parking is permitted but very challenging!!!   If you do decide to rent a car, we suggest you coordinate with the Valet parking that services Marbella restaurant.   They can be very helpful in securing parking in front of the building for a modest tip.

Yes.   All of our apartments have air conditioning available in all the rooms.  Please be aware that this is not central air conditioning but room by room air conditioning.   We ask that you please only use the air conditioning when you are in the room at the time.   We ask your cooperation in this in order to keep our expenses down.  Electricity costs in Mexico are very high.   Each A/C is a very efficient mini-split unit that will cool a room in a matter of minutes, so you do not need to keep the A/C’s running while you are away from the apartment.   It is not more efficient to keep the units running while you are away from the apartment.

Please understand that Mexican plumbing standards are very different from the US and Canada – the draining pipes are narrower and more easily clogged than in the US.  Because of this we request our guests please use the receptacle in each of the bathrooms to dispose of toilet tissue.

Your cooperation is appreciated.

In general, Puerto Morelos is a very safe travel destination.   We do want to let all of our guests know, however, that crimes against property are common so please do not make yourself an easy target.   Keep valuables out of sight from windows.   Do not leave electronics unattended in the outdoor space especially in the beach front property as some people walking along the beach are looking for an opportunity.   When dining at one of the outdoor venues, please do not hang your backpack or purse on the back of a chair and become inattentive.   And exercise vigilance in the grocery stores as a common method of distraction is to soil clothing of unsuspecting tourists with ketchup of mustard then some generous person offers to help clean them up.

The pool on the Nohoch B’alam property is restricted to use of registered guests of the Nohoch B’alam property only.

Nohoch B’alam Property common areas include

  • Small patio at base of stairs
  • Laundry room
  • Pool
  • The side of garden area
  • Rooftop patio of the three story building on the back of the lot.

Each of our properties offers a laundry room.   If you want your laundry done for you, there is a laundromat located on the street Ninos Heroes – walk north to the corner, turn left and walk until you arrive at Ninos Heroes.   Turn South (left) and walk a short distance.  Laundromat on the left side of the road.
